Last concert “On Life and Death”

We are living in turbulent times, where not only find ourselves reflecting on the pandemic. Our last concert of our ‘On life and Death’ Concert series is strangly current with the events in Ukraine.

We would like to welcome all of you to this concert. The concert takes place in Oude Kerk Charlois, on the 29th of April 2022. Tickets to the concert are freely reservable via our website. This concert has been made possible by Stichting Droom and Daad and Een Kunstcentrum Charlois.

Concert on 12th December cancelled

Unfortunately, we also have to cancel our concert “On Life and Death” in Heerenhuys, Rotterdam.

Celia Camacho Carmena, our cellist, is not able to play due to an injury in her left arm. We really hope she recovers soon.

It will be likely that we will schedule two concerts in spring of 2022, to make up for our cancelled performances. We will keep the agenda updated!

Cancelled: Concert in Charlois

Unfortunately, the daily covid reality has caught up with us (again). Concerts in the evening are no longer allowed. Because of this, we have to cancel the concert on December 11th 20:00. We were hoping to move our concert to a different day and time, to be able to play in the Artcenter Charlois, but unfortunately the agendas don’t align that well. Instead of this concert, we are going to make a wonderful registration of the work of Gustavo Cabrera. Keep in touch via our website and Facebook.

There still is an opportunity to hear our concert, however. On December 12th 11:30, we will play in Heerenhuys: https://www.heerenhuyskamerconcerten.nl/voorstelling/erasmus-quartet/

Gustavo Cabrera composer for ‘On Life and Death’!

We are very proud to announce our composer for our project ‘On Life and Death’: Gustavo Cabrera!

Gustavo Cabrera is an Argentine-American composer currently residing in Rotterdam. He has played violin since the age of 5 and has performed in the U.S., Argentina, and has toured throughout Europe. He received his Bachelor degree cum-laude from Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam. While his activities usually involved performing and collaborating in the classical, tango and jazz genres, in recent years he has focused more on composing for various groups and formations. He does not write exclusively in one style, and prefers to blend the idioms from small groups, to bigger orchestral ensembles, leaving freedom for his creativity. Near the end of his Master’s studies in composition, he became a member of the upcoming collective of artists and musicians known as ‘Batavierhuis’ where culture based in Rotterdam is represented, and where he spends much of his time furthering his creativity. for more info about him or his music visit: www.gustavo-cabrera.com
